Aloha Performing Arts Company is making final preparations for its seventh annual gala fundraiser, this year titled “Around the World With APAC.” The benefit event will feature gourmet food catered by the Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay, fine wine, locally brewed beer, live and silent auctions, and live entertainment by APAC volunteers. Entertainment will consist of medleys from “Jekyll & Hyde” and “Evita” as well as a set by APAC’s Aloha Teen Theatre and a sneak preview of the shows remaining in the season.

“Around the World With APAC” will take place at 6 p.m. March 21 at the Aloha Theatre in Kainaliu. Auction items include original artwork in various media, antiques, jewelry, walk-on roles, hotel packages, cruises, tours, massages, a bowling outing, a gym membership, snorkel and diving adventures, and gift certificates to top island restaurants and boutiques. Donating businesses include: ATV Outfitters, Body Glove, Captain Zodiac, Choice Mart, Cornwell Coffee, Donkey Ball Store, Donkey Mill Art Center, Fair Wind, Hawaii Forest and Trail, Imiloa Astronomy Center, Jackie Rey’s Ohana Grill, Jack’s Diving Locker, KB Xtreme, King Kamehameha Kona Beach Hotel, Kona Handyman Services, Kona Brewing Company, Kona God Rum Company, Kona Historical Society, Korner Pocket, Lyman Museum, Maui Divers, Rebel Kitchen, Ride the Rim, The Club in Kona, Magic Strings, Killer Tacos and Wyland Galleries. All proceeds go toward supporting the various programs and activities of APAC, which is dedicated to providing quality community theater presentations and educational opportunities for all ages.
