HONOLULU — The Navy will be welcoming sailors and Coast Guardsmen to Hawaii next week for the Wounded Warrior Pacific Trials.

HONOLULU — The Navy will be welcoming sailors and Coast Guardsmen to Hawaii next week for the Wounded Warrior Pacific Trials.

More than 60 athletes will compete in cycling, seated volleyball, swimming, track and field and wheelchair basketball.

The top 40 athletes will be awarded a spot on Team Navy, which will advance to a competition among all military branches.

The competition will be held at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam and at other spots around the island over four days starting next Tuesday.

Navy Region Hawaii plans to host a symposium where local wounded warriors and their caregivers will discuss their experiences.
