North Kona water users are being asked to make a voluntary 10 percent conservation in their water use following a breakdown of county Department of Water Supply wells.

Customers from Keauhou north to Keahole and mauka to Puukala are being asked to find ways to reduce their usage following the breakdown of Honokohau, Hualalai, Holualoa and Kahaluu B wells. The Department of Water Supply recommends only doing full laundry loads, reducing shower times and irrigating at night.
