James Reynolds Sr.
James “Jimmy” Elbert Reynolds Sr., 78, of Honokaa died Dec. 13, 2014, at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Honolulu. Born April 6, 1936, in Hamakua, he was a retired heavy equipment operator and a master diesel mechanic for the former Hamakua Sugar Plantation Co. He was also the owner of his own diesel mechanic shop in Honokaa and a member of the Honokaa Senior Citizens.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. Dec. 27 at the Kawaihae Boat Ramp for a service and scattering of ashes. Family requests casual attire be worn. Loose flowers are welcome. A potluck will follow.
He is survived by wife, Priscilla Reynolds of Honokaa; daughter, Julie Truchan of Central Point, Ore.; son, James Reynolds Jr. of Honokaa; sister, Jeanette Reynolds Santos of Hilo; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cheryl Torrison
Cheryl Takeko Torrison, 58, of Kurtistown died Dec. 4, 2014, at the Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Kohala, she was a senior account clerk for the County of Hawaii Planning Department and a member of Hawi Jodo Mission and Kiwanis club of East Hawaii.

Mitsuo Une, 80, of Ninole died Dec. 14, 2014, at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born Oct. 1, 1934, in Ninole, he was a retired mechanic for the former Schuman Carriage Company in Honolulu and a member of Honohina Hongwanji Mission.

Robert Heidenfeldt
Robert E. Heidenfeldt, 88, of Hilo died Dec. 11, 2014, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Tonawanda, N.Y., he was a retired investigator for the State of Hawaii Child Support Enforcement Agency. He was also a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and a member of the National Rifle Association.
Friends may call at 5 p.m. Dec. 29 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 6 p.m. service. Friends may also call at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 30 at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 for a graveside committal. The family requests aloha attire be worn and flowers be omitted.

Lillian Eiko Sato, 86, of Hilo died Dec. 16, 2014, at a care home in Hilo. Born Sept. 9, 1928, in Hilo, she was a retired Waiakea Elementary School teacher and member of Hilo Meishoin Kyodan and Fujinkai and Akaka Falls Lions Club.

Mavis Cook
Mavis Cowan Cook, 92, of Waimea died Dec. 17, 2014, at her home. Born June 29, 1922, in Ewa, Oahu, she was a homemaker and community volunteer.
Private services were held.
She is survived by sons, Frank Cook III and Soupy Campbell, both of Waimea, Steven (Keri) Campbell of Holualoa; daughters, Faye Daniel of Kona and Piilani Isaia of Oahu; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
