Meisenzahl is UH media spokesman
The University of Hawaii has named Dan Meisenzahl as the media spokesman for all university related matters. Meisenzahl previously served as the spokesman for the state Department of Transportation and has 20 years of media experience working as a news anchor, reporter and producer in local television news.
He takes on these responsibilities in addition to his current position as the UH director of media production.

Central Pacific Bank promotes Son
Central Pacific Bank has promoted Trong Son to vice president and home loan manager of Central Pacific HomeLoans. Son is responsible for managing client relationships and generating new mortgage loans. His duties also include managing and overseeing a team of home loan consultants.
Son has been with the financial institution since 2011 and has more than 30 years of banking and mortgage experience. He previously served as a senior home loan consultant of Central Pacific HomeLoans.
He has a bachelor’s degree in finance from University of Hawaii at Manoa and an associate degree in sales and marketing from Kapiolani Community College.
Hawaii Forest &Trail expands to Hilo
Hawaii Forest &Trail founders Rob and Cindy Pacheco are blazing new trails with Heritage and Adventure tours based out of Hilo.
After researching Hilo visitor demographics and engaging with visitor industry leaders, Hawaii Forest &Trail made the decision to expand its 21-year operation and headquarter its Hilo tour operation together with Big Island Trading Co.
Hilo Operations Supervisor Kea Keolanui has come aboard along with a new fleet of tour vehicles and interpretive guides who are training to meet the company’s tour standards. Hawaii Forest &Trail guides have strong backgrounds in biology, geology, Hawaiian history and extensive natural field experience.
The new tour offerings in Hilo launched Dec. 15 and can be booked online at hawaii-forest.com.
