Hilo’s Kuhio Kalanianaole Park will be closed Dec. 29 through Dec. 31 so landscaping work may be performed at the coastal park. The park will reopen Jan. 1 and operate according to normal hours, according to the county Department of Parks and Recreation.

Parks and Recreation officials expressed gratitude to the members of the East Hawaii Rotary Clubs for their continuing efforts to further enhance the park. They also thanked park patrons and the public for their patience and understanding while upgrades are made.
