Innovations fifth- and sixth-graders presented their learning of the history of the American Revolution through song, dance and dramatic interpretation in a performing arts production titled “Perspectives of the American Revolution.”
With a focus on recognizing and honoring multiple perspectives, the students recreated the major events leading up to the American Revolution portrayed by several different, significant groups, including slaves, colonists, British loyalists and Native Americans. Students dressed the part and portrayed famous characters such as Ben Franklin, George Washington, Deborah Samson, Paul Revere and Phyllis Wheaton as they acted out the roles they played in America’s history.
