Holualoa Village will host its monthly First Friday gathering from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 5. More than a dozen shops, art studios and galleries will be open late to greet visitors with new art offerings, pupu and occasional live music during the Art-After-Dark event.

The music begins at the Holualoa Ukulele Gallery across from the village parking lot with the Holualoa Strummers playing throughout the evening on the front lanai of the original post office building.

Behind the old post office, the Dovetail Gallery will debut hand-crafted beach glass, metal and semiprecious stone jewelery by visiting Honolulu artist Linette Arakawa.

Holualoa Gallery will host fiber artist Shelley Hoist with a show of her finest palm frond baskets. Owners and artists Matt and Mary Lovein will also be on hand to meet and greet guests and show their latest works.

Pat Pearlman Designs in the historic Inaba family Kona Hotel will have a Dec. 5 evening-only sale on her custom jewelry and the Holuakoa Cafe’s courtyard across the street will present the latest creations from Sirena Pearls, art by Josef Ster and Bobbi Caputo’s art tiles.

The new Bliss in Bloom bridal boutique across from the cafe is debuting Coco + Lita, a fashion inspired traveling “pop-up shop” of shirts, dresses and accessories.
