The Volcano Art Center’s hula kahiko series continues at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with a free performance by na kumu hula Leilehua Yuen and Manu Josiah. The event follows an informance format, allowing for more interaction than normal between the kumu, halau and audience.
The Volcano Art Center’s hula kahiko series continues at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with a free performance by na kumu hula Leilehua Yuen and Manu Josiah. The event follows an informance format, allowing for more interaction than normal between the kumu, halau and audience.
The hula platform is a short walking distance from Volcano Art Center Gallery. Attendees are encouraged to bring sun or rain gear and sitting mats. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held in the lobby of the Volcano House Hotel. National Park entrance fees apply.
