Hawaii Aloha hosts aloha aina discussion
Hawaii Aloha is an educational series designed to continue the discourse that was started at the U.S. Department of the Interior hearings held in July all across Hawaii. The overwhelming majority of people who presented testimony opposed any type of federal recognition from the cepartment and also opposed the state-initiated Kanaiolowalu. Many based their stance on information never taught in any level of public compulsory education in Hawaii.
Hawaii Aloha will take place at 6 p.m. Friday at the West Hawaii Civic Center. Pupu, juice and water will be provided. Chairs are welcome. This event is free and open to the public.
