Highway 11 at the 58 mile marker in Ka‘u opened to one lane of traffic early Saturday afternoon. Heavy rain from Hurricane Ana caused flooding to close the road at Kawa Flats early Saturday morning. Hawaii Island police said continuing intermittent heavy rain prevented them from estimating when both lanes would reopen.
