LIHUE — Kauai Police say a 60-year-old woman died Tuesday morning when she was struck by two vehicles in Lihue.
LIHUE — Kauai Police say a 60-year-old woman died Tuesday morning when she was struck by two vehicles in Lihue.
The Garden Island reports the woman was walking along Rice Street and at about 6:15 a.m. attempted to cross in a marked crosswalk in front of the Bank of Hawaii.
A westbound pickup struck the woman.
Police say the male driver stopped to render aid and a second westbound vehicle also struck the woman.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name was not immediately released.
Rice Street remained closed nearly three hours after the accident as police investigated.
