Clifford “Boy” Leilehua Muller Jr., 66, of Mountain View died Sept. 23, 2014, at his residence. Born Oct. 29, 1947, in Honolulu, he was a retired licensed contractor for C. Muller and Co.

Friends may call at 5 p.m. Sept. 30 at 16-1337 Uhini Ana Road, Mountain View, the residence of Dorena and Ross Bennett, for a service. Family requests aloha attire be worn. Online condolences may be posted at homelaniememorialpark.com.

He is survived by mother, Eleanor Muller of Honolulu; son, Danny Muller of Mountain View; stepdaughter, Rosie Muller of Maui; hanai sons, Nathan of Honolulu, Mark Laa of Mountain View; sisters, Ella Muller of Aiea, Oahu, Dorena (Ross) Bennett of Mountain View, Stephanie Terlap of Mountain View, Patrice Muller of Orchidland, Darrellgene Eliana of Pearl City, Oahu, Wehilani Muller of Honolulu; brother, Damien (Penny) Muller of Pearl City, Oahu; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Manuel Oliveira Jr.

Manuel Oliveira Jr., 79, of Hilo died Sept. 24, 2014, at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Papaikou, he was a retired business agent for the AFL-CIO Local 368 and an Army veteran.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. Sept. 30, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10 a.m. Mass. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Mary Jane Oliveira of Hilo; daughters, Anastasia (Allen) Broussard of Antioch, Calif., Maria (Kurt) Hardin of Indio, Calif.; sons, Manuel Oliveira IV and Paul (Lokelani) David Oliveira, both of Hilo; brother, Donald Oliveira of Hilo; sister, Betty Royston of Hilo; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Gerald De Lima

Gerald “Gerry” E. De Lima, 67, of Hilo died Sept. 23, 2014, at Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center in Honolulu. Born Nov. 2, 1946, in Hilo, he was a retired switch technician for Verizon, a Navy veteran and member of the Moose Lodge 1379.

Friends may call at 6 p.m. Oct. 3 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Carol De Lima of Hilo; daughter, Chrissy (Shawn) Blakeney of Seattle; brothers, Duane (Luz) De Lima and Jack De Lima, both of Hilo; two grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Roger Tavares

Roger Allen Tavares, 58, of Pahoa died Sept. 10, 2014, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Dec. 10, 1955, in Colorado Springs, Colo., he was a welder, ironworker and carpenter, owner of the former Tavares Ornamental Iron, a Vietnam Army veteran and member of New Hope East Hawaii.

Friends may call at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 3 at Dodo Mortuary chapel, Hilo, for a 10:30 a.m. service. Burial follows at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Doreen Tavares of Pahoa; sons, Jerome (Gloria) Tavares of Honolulu, Lokela (Sheylyn Botelho) Tavares of Hilo, Kamuela (Desireelyn Hu) of Ka‘u, Manuela (Danielle) Tavares and Lopaka (Kassandra) Tavares, both of Pahoa; brother, Roy (Agnes) Tavares of Hilo; sister, Regina Tavares of Honolulu; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jean Hammond

Jean Hammond, 79, of Hilo died Sept. 20, 2014, at her residence. Born in England, she retired as a paralegal.

Private services will be held.

She is survived by daughters, Karen Fuller of Hilo, Sarah Hammond of Michigan; brother, John Wilkinson of Canada; sisters, Elizabeth La Rusic of Canada, Marilyn Ross of England; three grandchildren.

Hiromi Tsutsumi

Hiromi “Skeeter” Tsutsumi, 92, of Hilo died Aug. 23, 2014, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Hilo, he was the retired vice president and general manager at Parts Center Hawaii, a member of the Hilo Interpreters Club, Fukuoka Kenjin Kai, Saturday Golf Club and a veteran of the Military Intelligence Service, U.S. Army, during World War II.

Private services were held. In lieu of flowers and monetary gifts, donations may be made to Hospice of Hilo.

He is survived by sons, Mark (Carole) Tsutsumi of Honolulu, Jay (Lorna) Tsutsumi of Hilo; daughter, Cheryl (Brian) Kubo of Waimea; brothers, Atsushi Tsutsumi of Honolulu, Hardy (Carole) Tsutsumi of Hilo; sisters, Yasue Matsui of Hilo, Nora Abe, Ann (George) Kasashima and Geraldine Itsui (Roy) Hatada, all of Honolulu; six grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

King Yee

King You Yee, 93, of Hilo died Sept. 6, 2014, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Canton, China, he was the retired co-manager of Richardson Barber Shop on Oahu and a World War II Air Force veteran.

Private services were held.

He is survived by sons, Richard Yee of Honolulu, David (Merle) Yee of Hilo; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
