Flora Cabreros

Flora Agliam Cabreros, 91, of Paauilo, died Sept. 5, 2014, at her caregiver’s home in Hilo. Born in Ninole, she was a homemaker, retired farm worker for the Kawano farms in Waimea and member of the Paauilo/Honokaa Catholic Church.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. Saturday for a visitation at Ballard Family Mortuary, 570 Kinoole St., Hilo, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial to follow at noon at Alae Cemetery. The family requests casual attire and flowers are welcomed.

She is survived by sons, Phillip (Sharon) Cabreros of Michigan, Timmy (Jo Ann) Cabreros of Paauilo; daughter, Paulette (Doug) Ward of Kona; sisters, Olivia Satomba of Pepeekeo, Jane (Leo) Holsen of Washington; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Nida Gervacio

Nida Valiente Gervacio, 57, of Keaau died Sept. 15, 2014, at Hilo Medical Center. Born May 30, 1957 in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was a registered nurse at Ka‘u Hospital in Pahala.

Friends may call at 6 p.m. Sept. 18 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. wake service. Friends may also call at 8 a.m. Sept. 19 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo, for a 10 a.m. Mass. Family requests casual attire be worn.

She is survived by husband, Dominador Gervacio of Keaau; mother, Dolores Valiente of Philippines; sister, Cecelia (Frederick) Valiente of Florida; brothers, Nicasio Valiente and Rubina Valiente, both of Milan, Italy; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
