The Hawaii Public Utilities Commission is seeking public comment about power supply improvement plans submitted last month by Hawaii Electric Light Co. and its sister companies.

The Hawaii Public Utilities Commission is seeking public comment about power supply improvement plans submitted last month by Hawaii Electric Light Co. and its sister companies.

The comments, which are being collected through Oct. 6, will assist the commission in its initial review and assessment of the utilities’ plan to increase the amount of renewable energy on their electric grids and decrease customers’ power bills.

Interested people may review the plans and related documents by visiting puc.hawaii.gov/news-release/puc-receives-the-heco-companies-action-plans-to-achieve-state-energy-goals/.

Late filed submissions will not be accepted. Comments should be addressed to the attention of the Hawaii Public Utilities Commission and clearly state they are being filed as public comment in Docket No. 2014 0183 to address the PSIPs or Docket No. 2014-0192 to address the DGIP.

In lieu of the PUC’s established e-filing procedures, public comments may be submitted by email, as set forth below. Thus, public comments may be filed as follows:

• Email to hawaii.puc@hawaii.gov with the following subject line: “Public Comment — Docket No. 2014-0192 —DGIP — [Filer Name]” if submitting comments about the DGIP or “Public Comment — Docket No. 2014-0183 — PSIPs — [Filer Name]” if submitting comments about the PSIPs.

• First-class mail to the PUC at 465 S. King St., Room 103, Honolulu, HI 96813.

• Hand delivery to the PUC during normal business hours of 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.

• E-filing.
