The Volcano Art Center will present “Tiny Treasures II,” an invitational exhibit of small sculpture and jewelry, created for the show by a host of well-known Hawaii Island artists. The exhibit opens on Saturday with a reception with the artists from 5 to 7 p.m. and concludes Nov. 9.
The exhibiting artists include Lisa Louise Adams, Henry Bianchini, Brenda May Ching, Wayne Keeth, Amy Flanders, Kimberly Langston Hagen, Bea Israel, Heather Mettler, Elizabeth Miller, Stone O’Daugherty, Pat Pearlman, Daniel E. Rokovitz, Jeff Roth, Tad Sewell, Jamie Stokes and Ivy Torres.
The 16 artists were invited to create work that would fit within an 8-inch cube, but were asked to think outside of their normal boxes to create innovative pieces. The exhibit will include work in a wide variety of media including metal, glass, wood, ceramics and textiles.
The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Park entrance fees apply.
