Hawaii Island police are investigating a home invasion burglary that happened early Sunday in Puna.
In response to a 3 a.m. report, Puna Patrol officers responded to a home on the 15-1700 block of 25th Avenue in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision. A 66-year-old man reportedly woke up to find two unidentified men in his bedroom. He was punched and threatened with a knife and with additional physical harm.
The victim reported that numerous items were missing from the house, including guitars and electronic equipment. Estimated value of the stolen goods is $2,495.
The suspects were described only as local males with one wearing a mask.
