Joseph De Costa Jr.
An obituary for Joseph “Joe” Lawrence De Costa Jr. had incomplete information because it was not supplied to West Hawaii Today. Burial will be at noon at Homelani Memorial Park and Cemetery, following an 11 a.m. service August 15 at Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home in Hilo.
David VanderHoek
David James VanderHoek, 82, of Kailua-Kona, died Aug. 11, 2014, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Oct. 4, 1931, in Spokane, Wash., he was a retired carpenter, groundskeeper and a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Private services will be held at a later date.
He is survived by sons, Gene VanderHoek of Kalaoa, James VanderHoek, Joel VanderHoek, both of Kailua-Kona; daughter, Dena Rabara of Kalaoa; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.

Rosalynn Keanu-Jardine
Rosalynn Kuuipo Keanu-Jardine, 32, of Hilo died Aug. 3, 2014, at Hilo Medical Center.
Born in Hilo, she was a cook and cashier at Blane’s and Verna’s Drive inns.
Private services will be held.
She is survived by husband, Albert Jardine Jr.; sons, Roemello Abadilla, Blake Rapoza; daughters, Kihane Rapoza, Kanani Rapoza; father, Richard Awa; sister, Tammy (Michael) Dacey, all of Hilo; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
