Trail maintenance will warrant the closure of the Ala Hele Ike Hawaii trail, also known as the Mauka-Makai trail on Monday Aug. 4 through Friday Aug. 8 and the following week, Aug. 11 through Aug. 15. The trail will reopen for visitor use during the weekends. In consideration of visitor safety from falling trees and equipment use during this tree trimming work, this area of the park will be closed during the dates listed above.
