Hawaii Island police are investigating a home invasion robbery early Tuesday morning in Puna.
Puna Patrol officers responded to a 2:30 a.m. report of a robbery at a home in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision, according to the Hawaii Police Department.
An unknown man, whose face was obscured with fabric, entered a house on 1st Avenue off Makuu Street, brandished what appeared to be a firearm and threatened the 80-year-old male occupant. He then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as Caucasian, 6-foot-2, weighing 140 pounds, and having brown eyes and a long, thin face. He was wearing baggy brown pants and a short-sleeved multicolored shirt.
