Overturned pickup burns on Highway 180

Hawaii Fire Department firefighters extinguished an auto fire on Highway 180 around 8 p.m. Friday.

Responding personnel found a pickup truck overturned on its driver’s side on the highway and on fire, according to Keauhou Fire Station personnel.

The truck appeared to have been involved in a single vehicle accident. The occupants were not at the scene, firefighters said.

The accident occurred just north of the junction of Highway 180 and Highway 11.
