HONOLULU — A 55-year-old man died when he was struck by a city bus on a Honolulu street.

HONOLULU — A 55-year-old man died when he was struck by a city bus on a Honolulu street.

KHON-TV reports the man was killed early Thursday on North King Street between Middle Street and Gulick Avenue.

Police took a call on the incident just after 4:30 a.m.

Honolulu Police Department Lt. Bobby Towne says the man was struck as he walked in a marked crosswalk. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police closed the street as they investigated the accident.
