HONOLULU — The Honolulu Fire Department says a man in his 50s was found dead in shallow water off Waikiki.
The man was found Wednesday morning near the Diamond Head area.
A department official tells the Honolulu Star-Advertiser that a surfer just after 6 a.m. found the man in two feet of water off a beach in front of homes at the surf spot known as “Tonggs.”
Paramedics pronounced the man dead at 6:19 a.m.
