Truckers are advised that the 25-ton weight restriction on the detour route will be rescinded upon opening of the new detour. Trucks and trailers that exceed the statutory size-weight limits will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis upon application of their respective oversize-overweight vehicle permits, according to the state. The maximum width for any vehicle with permit passing over the bridge is 12 feet.

Motorists are asked to drive with caution and obey all posted signs in the area. Questions can be directed to J. Sonomura of the state Department of Transportation Highways Division at 933-8866.
