Burglary

May 12, a burglary in the area of 73-4700 Kohanaiki Road was reported. A suspect came to the home, calling the victim out to fight, and then walked upstairs. The victim told the suspect not to enter the residence. The suspect pushed the door open, punched the glass, bent the frame, entered the residence, and struck the victim multiple times in the face and arm.

Theft from vehicle or unauthorized entry

May 11, items were rearranged and a cellphone was reported taken from a white Toyota Matrix parked in the area of 73-4100 Uluwini Place. There was no damage or sign of forced entry observed, but a stainless steel steak knife and two bottles of Victoria’s Secret perfume, which did not belong to the victim, were recovered from the vehicle.

May 12, an engine computer was taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in the area of 75-5700 Kalawa St. The value of the computer is $1,475. Items were also taken from the passenger floor area.

Stolen vehicle

May 7, an older Toyota Tacoma was reported stolen in the area of 82-6100 Mamalahoa Highway.

May 12, a mo-ped, bearing license plate H34373, was reported stolen from a parking lot in the area of Waterfront Row on Alii Drive.

May 12, a Jeep Grand Cherokee was reported stolen in the area of 76-0300 Wana St. It bears license plate ZAZ302.

May 12, a white Suzuki, bearing the license plate HCR491, was reportedly taken from a residence in the area of 75-5400 Kona Bay Drive and returned. The owner was out of town; a friend used it without permission. The suspect admitted to using the vehicle.

May 14, a black Kawasaki Ninja 250 motorcycle with a yellow stripe was reported stolen from a residence in the area of 73-1100 Ahulani St. It bears licence plate 712HNU.

May 15, three motorcycles with no license plates were reported stolen from Big Island Harley Davidson on Palani Road. The total value of the stolen motorcycles is $48,000.

May 15, a silver mo-ped with a sticker H24283 was reported stolen from the Coconut Grove Marketplace parking lot on Alii Drive.
