Police say the 44-year-old suspect has not been formally charged. The suspect is being held on suspicion of attempted murder and two drug offenses.
KHON-TV reports the man at about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday argued with another man in his 40s at a home in Kaneohe.
Police say the suspect pour a flammable liquid on the second man and lit him on fire. The second man suffered second-degree burns and was taken to a hospital by emergency medical personnel.
