Guitarist and instructor Robbie Calvo presents a lead guitar workshop at Society for Kona’s Education &Art, 84-5191 Mamalahoa Hwy. in Honaunau.
Concepts covered include sweet notes, power of five, modal expose and the fine art of phrasing. Cost is $160 including lunch for an 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 17 workshop. Cost is $85 including lunch for an additional session elective from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 18.
