Fire officials are investigating the cause of a Friday afternoon structure fire in South Kona.
Responding to the 1:16 p.m. report, firefighters found flames emanating from an abandoned coffee shack in a wooded area about 1/4-mile up Hokukano Road, according to the Hawaii County Fire Department. Firefighters managed to contain the fire to just one room of the structure.
The fire was declared out at 2 p.m., according to the department. No injuries were reported.
