Big Island residents young and old descended upon Holualoa on Tuesday to celebrate Earth Day by making an old T-shirt “new” by using silk screening.
The event, held on Donkey Mill Art Centers’ lawn, not only offered the chance to create an Earth Day T-shirt, but also the chance to make a card. In addition to those activities, participants also could take part in a planting.
The event also featured edible plants grown by students, origami earrings made from recycled paper, good luck bamboo and more for sale with all proceeds supporting after school programs at the Donkey Mill Art Center.
Donkey Mill Art Center is a nonprofit organization offering art education for adults and youth at the historic Donkey Mill Art Center in Holualoa.
