Nonprofit changes its name to Accessible Hawaii
Disabled Adventures has changed its name to Accessible Hawaii, a nonprofit organization serving residents and visitors with limited mobility.
The revised website, accessiblehawaii.com, is a wealth of hard-to-find information about adaptive activities from 14 local providers and recommendations for 11 accessible beaches. A colorful map of downtown Kailua-Kona guides visitors along the safest walking path on Alii Drive. Accessible restaurants, transportation, and Americans with Disabilities Act compliant accommodations provide invaluable tips for newcomers.
