Libraries closed on Prince Kuhio Day

All public libraries will be closed Wednesday in observance of Prince Kuhio Day. Because of system maintenance, all library services will be unavailable including access to the HSPLS catalog, Internet reservation scheduling, and online renewals.

On any other day, visit librarieshawaii.org or call an area library for hours.

Story time scheduled Wednesday

Kona Stories bookstore, with assistance from the American Association of University Women, will host a story time for children ages 2 to 6 at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The theme this month is sharks. A $5 participation fee covers snacks and crafts.

Keiki story times are held in the Keauhou Shopping Center courtyard. Space is limited. For more information, or to reserve a space, call 324-0350. Check-in is 10 minutes prior to story time at Kona Stories.

Hilton Waikoloa delivers activities update to Rotary

Leanne Pletcher, director of public relations for Hilton Waikoloa Village will give the Rotary Club of Kona Sunrise a spring and summer activity update Wednesday at the group’s weekly breakfast meeting.

The Rotary Club of Kona Sunrise meets at 6:45 a.m. every Wednesday at Hale Halawai. Breakfast is $10.
