The crews will work until 5:30 p.m. to complete the installation of seven dry wells, according to the department. Three of the dry wells are already complete.
The dry wells are located on the lower half of Laaloa Avenue, from Hoolaupai Street to the Alii Drive intersection, according to the department. Dry well installations will also take place on Alii Drive.
The extended work hours will continue through April 30. Crews will be working between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, according to the department.
Motorists can expect single-lane closures between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to install the dry wells on Alii Drive at its intersection with Laaloa Avenue. This is tentatively scheduled for next week. No lane closures are planned on Laaloa Avenue between Hoolaupai Street to the Alii Drive intersection
Laaloa Avenue, Phase 2, remains on schedule for completion this summer. The work began in late January.
