The Hawaii County Department of Water Supply is requesting North Kohala customers to conserve water.

The request was prompted by emergency work needed on a storage tank at the Kaauhuhu Reservoir in the department’s North Kohala water system. The affected area stretches from Kaauhuhu homestead to Maliu Ridge, according to the department.
