Close to $100,000 was raised for more than 20 local nonprofit organizations during the 19th annual Kona Brewers Festival held on Saturday.

Kate Jacobsen, festival executive director, said the event brought about 3,000 people in all to the beach and luau grounds at King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel. That includes 2,000 people who purchased tickets; 250 sponsors who received tickets; and 750 volunteers who helped with serving food, pouring beer, sorting waste and admissions.
