Kona Arts Center offers two days of acrylic instruction March 3 and 4 taught by returning artist Annabel Spielman. Acrylic paint is the great imitator since it can be used transparently like watercolor or opaquely like oils. Discovering some of its versatility will be the theme of this workshop.

Spielman offers demonstrations, one-on-one help and class critiques with her enthusiastic and supportive teaching style.
On March 3, students will prepare an opaque surface on canvas or board and explore painting from dark to light as in oil painting. Watercolor-like transparency will be the subject of the March 4 class. Students can choose their inspiration bringing photos or sketches of ocean, landscape or plants. Spielman has photos to share as well.
