‘Sweetheart Shuffle’ at Kealakehe
The Waverider Triathlon Club will host 10K (with partner) or 5K (solo) runs at 7 a.m. Feb. 15 at Kealakehe High School.
Fees are $15 for singles and $25 for couples through today, then $18 and $30 respectively. Proceeds benefit the club.

UH-Hilo tennis fundraiser in Ninole
The UH-Hilo tennis team will play exhibition matches Saturday at the Waterfalling Estate in Ninole as part of a fundraiser for the Richard and Ruth Matsuura Vulcan Tennis Endowed Scholarship. The event, from 3 to 6 p.m., will have pupus and live music by Lito Arkangel.

‘Leprechaun-Sham’ run/walk
Kealakehe High School’s Waverider Triathlon Club will present the “5K Leprechaun-A-Thon &Sham-Walk” at 7 a.m. March 15 at Magic Sands Beach Park.
Fees are $15 through March 8, and $18 thereafter. Race bib pickups will be from 6 to 6:40 a.m. There will be a prize drawing and refreshments after the run.

Hawaii Cycling Club’s Century Ride
The Hawaii Cycling club will host the Hawaii Century Ride on April 5 starting and ending at Spencer Beach Park.
Participants will have a choice of distances: 107 miles, 62 miles and 31 miles. There will be food and beverages on the course and festivities after the event.
The ride is a fundraiser for North Hawaii Hospice. Entry fees are $40 through today, $50 through March 23 and $60 thereafter.
West Hawaii Hockey holding sign-ups
West Hawaii Hockey is holding sign-ups and practices for the 2014 season at 4:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays at the Old Kona Airport Park hockey rink.
The registration fee for first-year players is $25, which includes equipment provided by the league.
An adult league plays at 4:30 p.m. Fridays and Sundays.
