Shaun Breland scored 24 points and John Cole added 21 on Saturday night to lead Trinity Christian to a 67-59 victory against Hilo in the championship game at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium in Hilo.

Albert Owens chipped in with 15 points as the Tigers withstood a 31-point effort by the Vikings’ Jalen Carvalho.

Trinity of Cedar Hills, Texas, took advantage of its height to win for the third consecutive day at the tournament. Breland and Owens, who scored 40 points Friday night as the Tigers edged Waiakea, are both listed at 6 feet, 9 inches.

Austin Dante contributed 22 points for Hilo. Carvalho scored 77 points in the tournament

The Lunas off the Maui Interscholastic League capitalized on balanced scoring from Cyrus Kama (16 points), Ryan Madera (13), Nick Vierra (11) and Joshua Chapital (11) to take third place.
