Mamalahoa Highway, also known as Route 190, is completely closed in both directions again today because of brush fires at mile markers 16 and 23. Motorist are being asked to avoid the area as crews address the fires.
Traffic is being rerouted to Waikoloa Drive and the old Saddle Road for those heading south on Route 190, and to Kaiminani Drive for those heading north on Route 190.
Motorists are urged to expect delays and drive with caution as crews will be going to and from these locations.
