Kona Festivale Chorale has scheduled four concert events for its 2013-14 season.
The Dec. 15 “Celebration of Christmas in Music” will employ many of the chorale’s performing arts resources in a standing-room only setting at King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel. The chorale will present “Christmas Is the Best Time of the Year,” a Paul Johnson production of a made-for-television Christmas special.
“Swing Into Spring,” the chorale’s annual dinner gala fundraiser, is set for Feb. 22 at King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel. The event offers a buffet dinner and dance music by local artists, a live cabaret show and a live auction.
The March 30 “Pops Menagerie” will be a fun-filled, sometimes zany, often nostalgic trip down memory lane with time-honored show tunes from Broadway to the classics.
“SingSpiration” will be held April 26 at Mokuaikaua Church, the first Christian church in the state. The concert of inspirational, sacred music is presented free.
Tickets are available at 331-1115. For more information, visit konafestivalechorale.org.
