Big Island police have charged a 34-year-old man with murder in connection with a fatal stabbing Tuesday afternoon in Puna.

Big Island police have charged a 34-year-old man with murder in connection with a fatal stabbing Tuesday afternoon in Puna.

Detectives charged David True Seal of Mountain View with second-degree murder at 3 p.m. Thursday, according to the Hawaii County Police Department. He is being held without bail at the Hilo police cellblock pending his initial court appearance scheduled for Friday.

An autopsy is also scheduled for Friday to determine the exact cause of death of the victim, 32-year-old Rory Thompson Wick of Mountain View, according to police.

Police responded about 3:20 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a stabbing on Pilo Street in the Eden Roc subdivision. Upon their arrival, they found Wick on unresponsive and suffering from multiple stab wounds, according to police. He was pronounced dead at 11:11 p.m.
