Police seek Umemoto

Police are searching for a 35-year-old Hilo man wanted on bench warrants for contempt of court and failure to appear.

Jacob W. Umemoto is described as 6 feet tall, weighing 165 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.

Police urge the public not to attempt to approach him, as he is considered armed and dangerous.

Instead, anyone who sees him or knows his whereabouts is asked to call the police department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311 or Sgt. James Correa at 961-2213.

Police are searching for a 40-year-old Kaʻu woman wanted for abuse of a family/household member.

Sharon Hui is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to call the police department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311.
