Scores of people perused the ninth annual Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce Building and Design Expo on Friday discovering the latest ideas, technology and services available.

More than 60 exhibits featuring home design, construction and remodeling ideas including home decorating; roofing and decking; flooring and window treatments; kitchen and baths; and solar products are on display. Vendor booths offer products, services and information relating to the building and improvement of homes, apartments and condos. Chef Ivan of Lustre Craft Cookware will offer cooking demonstrations on the stage during the expo and a tropical plant sale will take place in the foyer.

The open-to-the-public free expo continues today and Sunday at the Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay’s convention center. The event is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
