The University of Hawaii volleyball team made it look easy again in the Big West.

Emily Hartong posted a double-double with 14 kills and 11 digs Friday as the visiting Rainbow Wahine swept Long Beach State 25-11, 25-21, 25-16.

Hartong hit .414, while freshman Nikki Taylor hit .421 for 11 kills for No. 6 UH (14-1, 3-0 Big West), which won its 12th straight.

The Wahine haven’t lost a set in league play, nor have they come all that close.

Hawaii got out in front of the 49ers (8-8, 1-2 Big West) with a 27-4 run spanning the second and third sets.

Long Beach hit only .079.

Tai Manu Olevao added 10 kills and four block assists for Hawaii and Mita Uiato compiled 36 assists, 11 more than the 49ers had as a team. Jade Vorster added seven kills and four block assists.

Delainey Aigner-Swesey and Chisom Okpala each had nine kills for Long Beach State.

UH faces Cal Irvine at 4 p.m. Saturday.

Soccer

Summer Chavez scored in overtime as Cal State Fullerton denied the Rainbow Wahine their first Big West road win with a 2-1 victory.

Freshman Kama Pascua opened the scoring with a goal in the 58th minute, her third of the season for UH (5-5, 0-1).

Erica Mazeau tied the match for the Titans (6-3-3, 1-0) just three minutes later.

UH, which visits Cal Riverside at 10 a.m. Sunday, held a 17-10 advantage in shots in regulation.
