Frankie Payne

Frankie “Fran” Lorene Payne, 94, of Honolulu, died Aug. 23, 2013, at her residence. She was a homemaker.

Friends may call at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 21 at Diamond Head Mortuary Chapel on Oahu for a 10:30 a.m. service. Inurnment follows at 12:45 p.m. at Diamond Head Memorial Park.

She is survived by son Winfield Payne III; daughters, Linda Ferlan and Deborah Au of Waikoloa; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Haruyo Yoshina

Haruyo “Hachan” Yoshina, 88, of Hilo, died Aug. 29, 2013, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born Jan. 3, 1925, in Kalaoa, Papaikou, she was a retired seamstress and member of Papaaloa Hongwanji Mission and Komohana Estates Association.

Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 19 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for a 10 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn and no monetary gifts or flowers.

She is survived by brothers, Seiji (Kimie) Aoki, Junichi Aoki, both of Kalaoa, Futoshi (Yukiko) Aoki of Hilo; numerous nieces and nephews.

Sasae Murakami

Sasae Murakami, 90, of Kona, died Aug. 26, 2013, at Life Care Center of Kona. Born in Keei, she was a retired hospital operator at Kona Community Hospital.

Private services were held.

She is survived by son, Mervin Murakami of Minnesota; daughters, Gerry (Alan) Kawaguchi of Maui, Karen (Herbert) Ashizawa of Vancouver, Pearl Maeshiro of Honolulu, Lynn Tom of Kona; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mark Wangsness

Mark Alan Wangsness, 64, of Pahoa, died Sept. 2, 2013. He was born in California.

Private services were held.

He is survived by sister, Kim (Paul) Consol of California; and numerous nieces.

Constance Kuloloia

Constance “Connie” Marie Love Kuloloia, 69, of Pahoa, died Aug. 22, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Feb. 6, 1944, in New Mexico, she was a retired operator supervisor for Verizon.

A service will be held at noon, Sept. 21 at 15-1867 19th Ave. in Pahoa. Family requests casual attire be worn. Online condolences may be made at homelanimemorialpark.com.

She is survived by husband, William Kuloloia; sons, John-Michael Kuloloia, and James Kuloloia all of Pahoa; two brothers, Walter Love of Pahoa, and Andy Love of Mountain View; numerous nieces and nephews.

Consuelo Davila Lopez

Consuelo Davila Lopez, 88, of Captain Cook died Sept. 12, 2013. Born March 24, 1925, in Tapalpa, Mexico she was a homemaker and belonged to Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Private services will be held.

She is survived by son, Mario (Henriette) Lopez of Captain Cook; and three grandchildren.
