Several Oahu-based units are scheduled to convoy between Pohakuloa Training Area and Kawaihae Harbor this week and next week.

Starting today, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., convoys will travel from PTA to Kawaihae, using Saddle Road, Mamalahoa Highway, Waikoloa Road, Queen Kaahumanu Highway and the Akoni Pule corridor. Those convoys will continue through Sept. 20.

From 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, units will convoy from Kawaihae to PTA, using the Akoni Pule corridor, Queen Kaahumanu Highway, Waikoloa Road, Mamalahoa Highway and Saddle Road.

The Hawaii Police Department will escort the convoys. Motorists are advised to be alert and drive with care.
