Betty Beatriz Cruz Jumalon, 80, of Keaau died Aug. 15, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born April 1, 1933, in Manila, Philippines, she was a retired room service inspector, homemaker and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.

Friends may call at 8 a.m. Sept. 10 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10 a.m. service. Burial follows at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima section. Family requests casual attire be worn. Flowers are welcome.

She is survived by son, Jose Ramos of Honolulu; daughters, Matilda Jumalon of Hilo, Michelle Germano of Kailua-Kona; 17 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Wade K. Wilson, 65, of Keaau died Aug. 30, 2013, at home. Born in Pahala, he was a supervisor for Hawaiian Electric Light Co. and member of Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Alu Like.

Rose V. Alip, 71, of Kailua-Kona died Aug. 20, 2013, at Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu. Born in Waipio Valley, she was a retired paramedical assistant at Hilo Medical Center, a former bus driver and member of the Kona 1st Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Lenora K. “Nora” a.k.a. Elizabeth Akiona Kaaukai, 73, of Puueopaku died Sept. 3, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Oct. 31, 1939, in Hilo, she was an assistant baker at the former Hatada Bakery in Hilo and member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou.

Sen Woo Fang, 81, of Mountain View died Aug. 17, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Nov. 8, 1931, in China, he was the proprietor of Fang Pacific Nursery and member of the Hawaii Tea Society.

Hannah Miyako Hirata, 92, formerly of Ookala and Ahualoa died Aug. 4, 2013, at Life Care Center of Kona. Born June 17, 1921, in Honaunau, she was a housewife, lauhala weaver, seamstress and member of Paauilo Kongoji Mission.
