Jorge Llantero
Jorge Agnes Llantero, 72, of Hilo, died Aug. 23, 2013, at his home. Born April 23, 1941, in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a retired carpenter for the former Hilo Coast Processing Company and a former supervisor for S & L Farms. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 5 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo. A wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Sept. 6 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo with a 10 a.m. funeral Mass. Burial to follow at Alae Cemetery, Section K. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by wife, Mary Llantero, of Hilo; daughters, Geomar Llantero, of Benicia, Calif., and Norma (Sheldon) Ishii, of Mountain View; son, Kennixhower (Jasmine) Llantero, of Hilo; brothers, Tranquilino (Nenita) Llantero, of Keaau and Primo Llantero, of Vallejo, Calif.; sisters, Pilar Ucol, of Keaau, Visitacion (Clemente) Monibog, of Waipahu, Oahu and Emerenciana (Andres) Tamayo, of Hilo; six grandsons; four great-grandchildren, one uncle, one aunt, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lillian Toledo Pacheco Low, 76, of Hilo died Aug. 25, 2013, at Queen’s Medical Center. Born June 3, 1937, in Hilo, she was a retired state of Hawaii employee and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.

She is survived by sons, Gary Pacheco and Russell Pacheco, of Hilo; daughter, Earlene Diego, of Hilo; stepchildren, Clerilene Mitchell and Clebertan Mitchell, of Hilo; sister, Bertha (Lilo) Gualderama, of Manteca, Calif.; nine grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Richard Kazuto Yoshida, 88, of Keaau, died July 21, 2013, at the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born July 4, 1925, in Hanapepe, Kauai, he was retired from Japan Airlines and a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
Friends may call at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 6 at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Punchbowl for an urn committal service. Family requests casual attire be worn and flowers be omitted.

Robert “Rabbit” Henry Correa, 62, of Hilo died Aug. 18, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born April 28, 1951, in Honolulu, he was a construction worker.

Yoso Ishizu, 80, of Papaaloa died Aug. 22, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Jan. 8, 1933, in Papaaloa, he was a retired welder at the former Hamakua Sugar Company. He was a member of Papaaloa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.

Valentina “Tina” Mahuna, 86, of Waimea died Aug. 29, 2013, at her residence. Born Oct. 5, 1926, in Laupahoehoe, she was a retired cook at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and an employee of Kentucky Fried Chicken in Waimea. She was a member of Alu Like.

Manuel “Manny” Ancheta Ternura Jr., 61, of Waimea, died Aug. 22, 2013, at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born May 21, 1952, in Gattaran, Cagayan, Philippines, he was a laundry sorter at Hilton Waikoloa Village.

Matilde Medrano Corpuz, 70, of Kona died Aug. 28, 2013, at Kona Community Hospital. Born in the Philippines, she was a retired food handler at McDonald’s in Kona.
