U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard toured Hawaii Preparatory Academy’s energy lab during her Big Island visit Aug. 26. The lab’s director Bill Wiecking and several of his students briefed Gabbard on some of the major research projects taking place there.
Gabbard said she was impressed with the students’ work.
“You are doing things here that go beyond normal automation,” she said.
