Almost 50 people with disabilities, their caregivers and volunteers snorkeled in Spencer Beach Park’s clear, calm waters at a Deep & Beyond Snorkel Day Aug. 9. Lunch was provided by Kohala Burger & Taco. The nonprofit organization has held monthly snorkeling events for the past five years. Snorkelers use specialized adaptive and safety equipment such as a mobi mat, hippo-campe and mobi chair. Deep & Beyond also offers adventure camps for at-risk youth.
