Read the writing on the wall

A letter the other day claimed that for every dollar spent gambling costs $3 in crime. If that were even remotely true, Nevada would have gone bankrupt 50 years ago. Instead, they just keep building bigger casinos.

Our tourism industry better read the writing on the wall. People want more than beaches, and there are more accessible affordable beaches with gambling, golf, good food and no Calvinist Missionary culture. Gambling was part of the pre-missionary culture.
